Xavier Gérard received a J.D. degree from the Catholic University of Louvain (2002) and a Master Degree (LL.M) in taxation from the University of Brussels (2003).
He is recognized as a specialist in tax and accounting law by the French Bar association of Brussels.
Experiences
Before creating the firm, Xavier worked as a tax manager at Deloitte and Deloitte Legal (2003-2009), as a senior associate in a Belgian law firm (2009-2011) and as a partner at Nibelle & Partners, a Belgian tax law firm (2011-2021).
His practice focuses on consultancy in the field of Belgian and international tax advisory and transaction work, as well as in accounting law. This includes advising on corporate, finance, tax and accounting aspects of mergers, demergers, partial demergers, contributions and sales of universality or a branch of business. He also advises on setting up holding structures and tax efficient financing structures.
Xavier also has an extensive experience in providing a full array of legal and tax services to non-profit organizations and public bodies.
Academy activity
He is Affiliate Professor and collaborator at the Tax Institute of the University of Liege. Previously, he taught corporate taxation at the Francisco Ferrer University (Brussels) and lectured on taxation of the non-profit sector at the Catholic University of Louvain (FUCaM Mons).
